Located on Main Street, the Mount Albert Community Centre is home of the Annual Sports Day & Spring Fair which has run the first weekend in June since 1925. The Lions Club Park is another popular gathering place for the community, and the site of the town's big Canada Day Fireworks display each year.
It's all about finding a place to call home
Mount Albert is a charming community within the town of East Gwillimbury, just 10 minutes north east of Newmarket, 10 minutes from Stoufville, 20 minutes from Markham, and 45 minutes from Toronto. With a population of approximately 3,500, it offers a welcoming “small town” feeling and friendliness that you just won’t find in the big city.
Mount Albert was originally founded as a farming community in 1821, by the Quakers. Today, almost 200 years later, it is still a growing Town, which is still surrounded by lush agricultural lands, forests and conservation areas. The downtown area has also preserved its Victorian flavor and heritage, with local shops, restaurants and services. There are numerous recreational facilities and parks to enjoy, including the newest Vivian Creek Park, which offers walking trails, baseball diamond, a BMX Bike Park and a playground.
With its small town friendliness and easy access to big city amenities, Victoria Highlands is the perfect venue for homes as spacious and luxurious as these.
